I'll just warn you right now, if you don't like chocolate, this may not be for you. However if you are a serious lover of rich, creamy, chocolately-ness, you'll fall in love all over again. I must admit I skipped dinner tonight so I could have a bowl of this. If that's wrong, I don't wanna be right. I type a word or two, then take a bite. Then I type another thought, and take a bite. This could take a while.

While perusing some of my favorite blogs, I came across a post for a Lime, Cilantro, Yogurt Sauce at The Slow Roasted Italian. I was immediately on the path to fajita or taco heaven. Sometimes the best recipes start with what you have in the fridge. I had lime, cilantro, sugar and salt, and I always have plain Greek Yogurt so I went on the hunt to find a great turkey taco recipe. We're still doing the gluten free thing for a few more months (the plan is a six month experiment) so I wanted something made from corn with some delicious crunch and that perfect salty fix. I picked up our favorite Food Should Taste Good Multigrain Chips and was on my way.

Dessert doesn't need to include sugar and chocolate to be a perfect finish to a great meal.
Now that summer weather is quickly sneaking up on us, cantaloupe, honeydew and watermelon will appear in great numbers at local grocery stores and farmer's markets. With a naturally sweet taste and cool fleshy texture, melons can be a great compliment to any meal.

My fashion style (if you can call it "fashion" or even "style") has always been very monochromatic (I’m no fashionista!) While I tend to dress in similar color families I usually like a lot of color variety in the food I prepare and eat. This predominately purple dish doesn’t exactly have a lot of color variety, but the flavors and textures are screaming for attention.

“You want me to expose my triangle??”
“NO silly. I said I’m going to write about the EXPOSURE TRIANGLE!”
But that’s enough about that!
Hey it's Traveling Husband with more photo tips.
By the way the moon shot above is from our back deck a couple of weeks ago. Not that that has anything to do with anything.....I just like the way it turned out.

I've been thinking about this ice cream for a long time so when the weather forecast called for a high of 89, well you know. How much more of an excuse do I need? The only thing I had to figure out was how to make Pistachio paste. I mentioned this to my lovely blog daughter Sarah who's posting over at the Smart Kitchen. Sarah is the queen of all things hummus and nut butter. Sarah embraced the idea and made Pistachio Poo that looks fantastic. Her success inspired me to make a pasty green nut butter of my own.

Did you know?
To graduate from the GRITS (girl raised in the south) Culinary program, one must be able to make a proper Tupperware container of basic Cole Slaw. I’m not saying I cheated on this test, but I am saying that up until now I didn’t have a Cole Slaw recipe I was proud of.

I've been a big believer in Duncan Hines Fudge Brownie mix for a long time. I took them to work events and everybody loved them. But that was before I made these homemade brownies. Nobody would ever know they're gluten free. They're moist and rich, fudgy and absolutely perfect. These brownies were a great ending to our Easter BBQ.

"There's a snake in my boot!" Why is that line stuck in my head? It'll go away for a day or two then bang, it's back. Can you name the movie? I guess I'm going to have to watch it so I can purge this line from my memory. Or I'm going to have to go check my boots. Sorry. I got off track. With Traveling Husband taking over a couple of posts these past few weeks, I feel like I have so much to tell you!

Hardwood mulch was on sale at Home Depot this weekend. We bought two pickup truck loads of mulch. We spread a bunch of mulch. Now my rear end hurts, so bad. I've developed a close personal relationship with a bottle of Aleve. Good thing I'll sit at my desk and work inside for a few days.
We may not be able to move now but are happy we got so much done in the yard. The garden is also coming along with beets, carrots, onions, spinach, squash, lettuce and peas already planted. The peas are coming up and I can't wait! Love me some green peas :)
