Biscoff Almond Granola Bars-4 (1)

Thick and Chewy Biscoff Almond Granola Bars

Even though we don’t have little ones at home anymore, we do have a pre-school aged grandson and he likes snacks as much as the next guy.  I shy away from buying treats that are loaded with artificial colors and preservatives and prefer to make homemade when time allows.  Not only are all these treats ‘kid friendly’ and perfect for Back-to-School snacks, they’re also terrific for anybody that hikes, bikes, kayaks or carries a lunch to work.  Easy to pack and loaded with healthy ingredients, your student will be the envy of the cafeteria table!

Graham Crackers

Graham Crackers

Loaded with whole wheat flour these Graham Crackers make a terrific peanut butter sandwich that will stick with you.

Chewy-Fruit-Nut-Bars

Chewy Fruit & Nut Bars

Nuts and oats, coconut and fruit – a satisfying and delicious bite!

Homemade Coconut Cream Pie Larabars

Homemade Coconut Cream Pie Larabars

Have you ever had a Larabar?  They’re all-natural tasty date bars and very easy to make at home.  Simple ingredients are transformed in minutes to an energy packed treat with great flavor and healthy fiber.

Homemade Peanut Larabars

Homemade Peanut Larabars

Moist, chewy and naturally sweet, these are a must make for your eager student!

Cinnamon Granola Bars with White Chocolate Drizzle

Are your kids involved in sports?  Then I am sure you know how hungry they can be after practice.  A little chocolate drizzle satisfies that craving for something sweet.

Chocolate Graham Crackers

Chocolate graham crackers are a delicious, simple snack but also make a wonderful s’mores for camping and bonfires … just saying 🙂

Not only do our kids want healthy snacks to keep them energized throughout the day, they also need a pretty terrific breakfast to get them going.  Check out these wonderful breakfast ideas from my friend Sue at The View from Great Island

Would go immediately back to school for one of this gorgeous and energy loaded treats.
And as a bonus they are so much healthier than all the ready made products.
Your grandson is one lucky guy!

ANYONE would be delighted to enjoy these treats with their lunch! My son became quite health conscious while in college (despite my not-so-healthy care packages) and is currently (permanently?) vegetarian. I think these protein rich bars are exactly what I need to be sending him now. As he transitions from college to the working world, these bars are sure to brighten his day! Happy Labor Day! p.s. I can’t believe Isaac is in pre-school already! How lucky he is to have you providing snacks!

I would have been thrilled to find any of these in my lunch as a child and I must say, I wouldn’t mind a bit finding any of them in my cupboard these days when I went to look for a snack. Great round up – pinning!
