The great folks at PB Crave recently sent four jars of their delicious peanut butter to us to sample and share. The sampling has been very easy but the sharing part has been hard. I asked my son and his fiance to try them during a recent visit. We each ended up with a favorite and my son Patrick took the rest of his favorite home! He loved the Coco Banana and said it tastes just like a peanut butter banana sandwich.
Thank goodness I had already made a delicious PB Chocolate Banana Smoothie because that jar is gone.
For the next few weekends I’m going to feature these natural peanut butters in dessert recipes. This week I decided on the Choco Choco peanut butter and mixed up a delicious mousse.
Last year I made a pie each week for the entire year. One of my personal favorites was the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie. This mousse reminds me of that pie without the crust. I love chocolate and peanut butter so this was an easy choice.
Topped with sweetened whipped cream, chopped peanuts, dark chocolate chips and a drizzle of chocolate syrup, this turned out fantastic.
This is a rich and creamy dessert so be sure to share! A little goes a long way 🙂
PB Crave Choco Choco Peanut Butter Mousse
Yield: 4
Course: Dessert
Chocolate and peanut butter rich and creamy mousse reminds me of pie without the crust.
Ingredients
- 4 ounces cream cheese room temperature
- ⅓ cup confectioners' sugar sifted
- dash of salt
- ½ cup PB Crave Choco Choco Peanut Butter
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup whipping cream
Toppings:
- ¼ cup chopped peanuts
- ¼ cup chopped chocolate chips
- ½ cup whipping cream whipped and sweetened with 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl beat the cream cheese, peanut butter, salt and vanilla together until smooth. Sift in the confectioners' sugar and blend well. In a separate bowl beat the whipping cream until stiff peaks form. With a rubber spatula, gently fold half the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture. Then blend in the remaining whipped cream taking care not to over mix or beat the mixture.
- Spoon the mousse into 4 serving bowls and refrigerate if not serving immediately. Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before serving. Top with additional sweetened whipped cream, chopped peanuts, chopped chocolate chips and a drizzle of chocolate syrup if desired. Serve and enjoy!

OK, this is a killer idea, and your photos are stunning. I can't take my eyes off it! I'll have to check out your pie, too.

Tricia, your chocolate peanut butter pie is one of the best pies I have ever made. It was DEVOURED last year when I made it during the holidays. I bet this mousse is ridiculously good as well!
