Loved these pies and pinned them. How do you make apple and leaves design on top of appple pie? I do have cookie cutters for this
Tricia Buice
Hi Theresa. I just cut the apples out with a small paring knife. Cookies cutters work well too!
Jean Herrmann
Good morning!
Your pies look delicious! Could you tell me where you got the little cutouts for the top of the pie. I have looked around the internet but all I could find were the regular cookie cutters. Your’s seem smaller than that.
Thanks! Jean
Tricia Buice
Hi Jean – I think you must mean the cookie cutters from Williams Sonoma. Search COOKIE CUTTER on their site then scroll down to the fall pie crust cutters. Let me know if that’s now what you were talking about! Happy baking and thanks.
Christina | Christina's Cucina
I would dub thee the “Pie Queen”! How absolutely beautiful each pie is, and the photographs show them off so well, too! I can’t even imagine having to choose one of the 20! Torture…I want them all!
Tricia Buice
Thank you very much Christina! Great to hear from you – hope you are doing well and having a wonderful, sunny, holiday season!
Cathy Lewis
Hello, Brilliant work! I want to open a pie shop, can you direct me to a site to order stamps, and especially the stamps for lettering? Cat
Tricia Buice
Hi Cat – good luck on your exciting new adventure! I don’t have any experience with purchasing letter stamps for pie crusts. You might look on Etsy or Amazon. Once again, good luck and best wishes ๐
Beth
These all look great – but it’s the pear crumb pie I can’t wait to try!

Monica
Your family is so lucky. I can totally see why they request the chocolate pecan pie. I’m eyeing that and the Mississippi Mud very hard right now. : ) Can’t believe Thanksgiving is next week!
Tricia Buice
Thanks Monica – and I can’t believe it either! My family has gotten so healthy they actually asked me to make less food this year. Not a problem – so much less work when you take a few casseroles off the list. I hope you are going to have a great holiday and thanks so much!
Susan
My stomach is growling after looking at all these beautiful pies, Tricia! I absolutely love the look of the decorated crust apple pies and hope I have the patience to try one this year. I’ve seen some beauties lately, including yours!

Thanks Susan – I bet you make beautiful pies. Have a lovely week!
Chris Scheuer
Where to even begin! I’m certainly craving pie now but I love them all so much. It must be heavenly to sit around your table for dessert Tricia! Actually for anything! Pinning for future reference!
Tricia Buice

Darliene Thompson
Thank you for all these delicious sounding pie recipes! I can’t wait to get started on trying a couple of these! I ‘m looking at the Chocolate Pecan Pie recipe and the decorated apple pies. My husband is an Idaho boy from a dairy farm, and his Mom made yummy pies, but I have always turned to store-bought pie crusts. I’m going to try to go “from scratch” this year. Wish me luck!??
Tricia Buice
I’m so excited for you Darliene! You’re going to love making your own crust ๐ I hope you’ll try our recipe. It’s been perfected for decades! Chocolate Pecan Pie is going on our Thanksgiving table again this year. My family would be so upset if I didn’t make one ๐ Enjoy and have a wonderful holiday!
